Satisfying a sudden need, or building a project team capable of meeting the required skills, can represent critical moments for the company. For the creation of a highly customized IT project, it is always difficult for the supplier to quantify an all-inclusive quote. There are many variables at play: from the quality expected by the customer to training activities, from data porting, to extra hours due to any unforeseen events. In these cases the optimal solution is an open consultancy contract, in which Xtranet carries out a rough estimate of the working days expected for each activity, identifying an hourly cost of its resources; “Time”. The same thing happens for “Materials”, determining a fixed rate for each unit and category of material, such as the hours of evolutionary maintenance.
